FEMA representatives will be on-site at the DRC to help homeowners, renters and business owners in Williamson County who suffered flood-related damage or losses not already covered by insurance.

  • Apply for disaster assistance
  • Check the status of a FEMA application
  • Better understand FEMA notices or letters
  • Find housing and rental assistance information
  • Get referrals to agencies
  • Meet with a Small Business Administration agent
Additionally, Williamson County will host a Multi-Agency Resource Center in Georgetown at the same location as the DRC from July 18-20 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Over a dozen nonprofit organizations will be available to provide recovery resources, basic needs assistance and guidance on next steps, per the release.

How we got here

On July 11, President Donald Trump amended a federal disaster declaration order to include Williamson County, making residents eligible for FEMA’s Individual Assistance program following the July 5 floods.

The federal amendment came one day after Gov. Greg Abbott requested five counties—including Williamson—be added to the federal declaration.

Additional flood resources and volunteer opportunities can be found on the county’s website at www.wilcotx.gov/1758/july-5-flood-recovery.
