Hoop Dance Camp
The weeklong workshop teaches campers hula-hoop skills, including passing, spirals, halos, hand-offs, off-body and on-body flow and other tricks. Registration includes a custom hula hoop that participants can keep at the end of camp. Ages: 7-18. Dates: July 9-13, Aug. 6-10. Cost: $100 (resident), $125 (nonresident)

Junior Fire Academy

Lego Robotics and Engineering
Children are taught age-appropriate engineering and robotics concepts with Lego sets, including the Lego WeDo, Lego Mindstorms NXT and Lego EV3 Robotics systems. SuperCamp at Southwestern
The nationwide camp teaches learning and life skills to middle school, high school and college students to prepare them for further educational, career and life opportunities. Activities include building skills in reading comprehension, reading speed, writing, memory and test taking. Arts Avenue for Kids
Arts Avenue for Kids holds full-day and half-day theater camps with themes including “Moana,” “Descendents,” and “Beauty and the Beast.” Each camp includes theater games, face painting and performances. Arts Avenue also organizes dance camps and classes. Age, date and cost ranges differ for each type of camp. Ages: 4-18. Art Camp
These camps inspire children to create unique art and feel empowered and expressive. Cordovan Art School
Participants can learn a variety of artistic skills, including painting with watercolors or acrylics and drawing with colored pencils or oil pastels. The Palace Theatre
The theater will host five two-week summer workshop sessions for ages 6-13 and three three-week workshops for age 14 and up. Summer History Explorers Camp
Participants can learn about Williamson County inventors and innovators from years past. Adventure Summer Camp
Campers will participate in adventures throughout the surrounding Hill Country. Activities include four to five field trips per week, a Ninja Zone Class and two gym classes per week as well as weekly swimming. Snacks are provided, but campers must pack a sack lunch except for Fridays when pizza is provided. Ages: 5-12 (completed kindergarten through fifth grade).
