The Jamestown Revival country music group will perform as the Red Poppy Festival’s headlining act April 29, according to a city of Georgetown news release.

The 23rd annual Red Poppy Festival will be held in downtown Georgetown on April 28-30.

The festival is scheduled to open April 28 at 6 p.m. with vendors, food and a live performance by the Dysfunkshun Junkshun band.

The Red Poppy Parade will take place at 10 a.m. April 29 followed by a car show at 11 a.m. The evening will come to a close at 9:30 p.m. with a performance by Jamestown Revival on the Red Poppy Stage.

There will be more live performances April 30 from 11a.m. to 5 p.m., including those by Morgan Obenhaus, Mike Donello & The New Essentials, Michele McNany Band, and others.


During the festival in the South Main Arts District, the city will also commemorate its 175th birthday. There will be kid-friendly activities and opportunities for the public to offer feedback on a number of city initiatives, the release said.
