Ride On Center for Kids, or ROCK, will host a kickoff party for Amplify Austin Day on March 1.

According to the press release, Amplify Austin Day is the biggest day of giving in Central Texas, raising $92.8 million dollars since 2013 for the local community with the help of half a million donations.

The event will take place between 5-9 p.m. at Tejas Meat Supply, 101 E. Seventh St., Georgetown.

In addition to food and drinks, guests will also be able to shop from the pop-up booths, which will feature Kendra Scott jewelry, Antandy Boutique and upcycled Myra Bag products, and Boutique One-Eleven fashions.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to ROCK to support their mission of improving life skills in partnership with the horses.

“Our goal is to raise enough funds through Amplify Austin to replace some of our equipment that is starting to show its age including our RTVs which help us reach our four legged friends throughout the day,” ROCK founder and CEO Nancy Krenek said in the release.

ROCK’s goal is to raise $30,000 through Amplify Austin. In order to help ROCK reach their fundraising goal, Sun City resident Don Garbe has agreed to match up to $15,000 to all donations made. This is the third year Garbe has partnered with ROCK during Amplify Austin, according to the press release.

Those who are unable to attend the event but would like to support ROCK during Amplify Austin can do so through their online portal at ROCKride.org/AmplifyAustin.
