See Friendships rekindled on stage


A production of “Sweet Delilah Swim Club,” by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, will take place on the Playhouse Stage of the Georgetown Palace Theatre. “Sweet Delilah Swim Club” tells the story of five Southern women who met on their college swim team and leave their lives behind for a weekend to catch up on each other’s lives. Hear Dolly’s songs on stage


The Georgetown Palace Theatre will present an adaptation of “9 to 5: The Musical” on the Springer stage, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton with the book by Patricia Resnick. Hear traditional Irish music


Austin-based The Here & Now, will perform at the Georgetown Public Library’s monthly Live Music at the Library series. The four-piece band includes two fiddles, guitar and bodhran, a traditional Irish drum, and plays traditional Irish music and original compositions. Hear a classical piano recital


Italian-Swiss pianist Chantal Balestri, a staff pianist at New York University, will take to the stage at the Alma Thomas Fine Arts Center at Southwestern University. The Friends of the Georgetown Library will host the next event in its ongoing Hill County Author Series with a talk by Karen MacInerney, author of the Snug Harbor and Dewberry Farm mysteries. Bike through WilCo for charity


The 16th annual Red Poppy Ride will start at Richarte High School, 2295 N. Celebrate the children of WilCo


The third Soiree will raise funds for a trio of child-centric nonprofits in Williamson County, The Georgetown Project, The Boys and Girls Club of Georgetown and the Georgetown Family YMCA. The theme for the night is the Golden Age of Hollywood and will include dining, dancing, a silent auction, raffle and games, overseen by emcee Chet Garner, the Arthur Murray Dancers and Bubba and the Train Wreck Band playing popular jazz and big band selections. 5 p.m. $250.
