Voters in the March 3 Republican primary will see nine candidates on the ballot for U.S. House District 31.
The details
Texas' 31st Congressional District covers part of Williamson County, including Round Rock, Georgetown, Liberty Hill, Leander and Cedar Park. Created in 2003, the district has been represented by Republican John Carter since its inception.
The winning Republican candidate will face the winner of the Democratic primary in November.

What would your top priorities be if elected?
The most pertinent priorities are securing the border, fiscal responsibility (stop wasteful spending/balance a budget), support our military and their families, stimulate economic growth and job creation, and focus on much needed water and infrastructure solutions.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
CD31 is experiencing rapid growth with a diminishing water supply. Our water and infrastructure issues need to be at the forefront. Young adults are struggling with affordability. We need small business owner mindsets with new-age ideas to help make life more affordable.
What projects are most important for the U.S. Congress to focus on for the future of Texas?
The most important projects for the future of Texas are as follows: A secure border; water solutions; and, a push for more state's rights with less federal government overreach.

What would your top priorities be if elected?
If elected to serve CD31, my top priorities will include cutting wasteful spending, balancing the federal budget, reducing taxes on hard-working Americans, tackling corruption, increasing government transparency, repealing unconstitutional legislation, maintaining a secure border, strengthening national security, protecting American jobs, and delivering exceptional constituent services.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
The biggest challenges facing CD31 are unconstitutional government overreach, threats to national and economic security, the growing federal debt and tax burden from unchecked spending and fraud, inflation from reckless monetary policy, infrastructure challenges from rapid growth, and issues affecting veterans.
What projects are most important for the U.S. Congress to focus on for the future of Texas?
Congress should focus on projects that secure our southern border and modernize critical infrastructure. Congress must also exercise greater fiscal responsibility and uphold the Constitution to secure a prosperous future for both our great state and nation.

What would your top priorities be if elected?
During my tenure in Congress, my top priorities have been reining in government spending, strengthening our military, honoring and caring for our veterans, and securing our border. I remain committed to fiscal responsibility, a strong national defense, and policies that protect our communities and put America first.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
A year ago, Texas faced a serious border crisis, and TX-31 was no exception. While President Trump has made progress securing the border, the job is not finished. Illegal immigration and drug trafficking persist, and as our district grows, we must invest in infrastructure and lower the cost of living.
What projects are most important for the U.S. Congress to focus on for the future of Texas?
Texas is the greatest state in the greatest country, and we didn’t get here by accident. To ensure our continued success, Congress must invest in securing the border, infrastructure, and energy. As your Representative in Washington, I will continue delivering results that keep Texas strong, affordable, and prosperous.

What would your top priorities be if elected?
I want to reform Congress, get us back to civility, sanity, and to getting results on behalf of our people, not politics. I pledge to sponsor bills to reduce federal overspending and the national debt, fix our VA, restore our water, and on day 1: put term limits on Congress.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
Expanding and restoring our water along with fixing our veterans’ healthcare. We are already in a water crisis and need to restore current reservoir capacities, while considering deeply confined aquifer and desalinized water options. We also have a growing veteran population needing improved appointment scheduling and more community healthcare options.
What projects are most important for the U.S. Congress to focus on for the future of Texas?
We are also in an affordability crisis, and if Congress does not reduce its overspending and the national debt it will continue to crush the middle class by driving higher taxes and inflation, ultimately stunting Texas’s growth and crippling our economy. Reducing our overspending problem is key to lowering taxes.

What would your top priorities be if elected?
If elected, my priorities are border security, national security, lowering costs for families, and supporting veterans. That includes strengthening infrastructure, responsibly advancing AI and emerging technologies, protecting parental rights, and showing up consistently with transparent, responsive representation focused on results, not rhetoric.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
Rising costs, border insecurity, and rapid growth are straining infrastructure, schools, and public safety. Families want affordability, safe communities, and opportunity, but too often lack representation that shows up consistently and advances legislation focused on real, measurable benefits that protect Central Texas.
What projects are most important for the U.S. Congress to focus on for the future of Texas?
Congress should focus on border security, energy reliability, and infrastructure that supports growth. That includes responsible AI policy, advanced nuclear power including small modular reactors, oversight of energy-intensive data centers, and space-related national security, while protecting taxpayers and supporting a skilled workforce.
What would your top priorities be if elected?
Eliminate wasteful spending, decrease taxes, secure the border.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
Taxes, inflation, veteran issues (homeless vets, untreated PTSD), healthcare.
What projects are most important for the U.S. Congress to focus on for the future of Texas?
Decreasing taxes, nuclear power (energy), national water pipeline (help with droughts).

What would your top priorities be if elected?
Protect and defend my soldiers at Fort Hood. Kicking all the terrorists muslims, Somalians, and illegals out of Texas. Stopping the construction of Sharia schools and Sharia cities. Increasing Social Security benefits and making medication more affordable for my senior citizens.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
[Part of answer did not meet the required guidelines] ... Property taxes. Activist judges releasing violent criminals into the streets, and our law enforcement ends up paying the price.
What projects are most important for the U.S. Congress to focus on for the future of Texas?
Impeaching activist judges and supporting President Trump’s agenda. Drill nonstop. Banning Sharia law, and imposing a total muslim ban. Take over Venezuela, Greenland and any other country that will benefit American strength and resources. Border security infrastructure. Energy independence. Transportation modernization. Reducing federal regulation.
