Texas’ 31st Congressional District encompasses parts of Williamson County, including Round Rock, Georgetown, Liberty Hill, Leander and Cedar Park. Created in 2003, the district has been represented by Republican John Carter since its inception.
The winning Democratic candidate will face the winner of the Republican primary in November.

What would your top priorities be if elected?
Lowering costs for working families, responsible AI and data protection, and strengthening democracy. That means affordable housing, protecting jobs and privacy as technology advances, defending voting rights, and ensuring government works for people, not corporations.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
Families here are working harder but falling further behind. Housing, healthcare, and basic costs keep rising while wages lag. Growth is happening, but everyday people are paying the price through traffic, overcrowded and underfunded schools, and a government that feels more responsive to powerful interests than to them.
What projects are most important for the U.S. Congress to focus on for the future of Texas?
Congress should focus on lowering costs and raising opportunities for working families. That means affordable housing, reliable infrastructure and power, good-paying jobs, broadband access, and rules that ensure new technologies like AI serve people, protect privacy, and strengthen democracy instead of undermining it.

What would your top priorities be if elected?
My top priorities will be holding Trump & Republicans accountable for their illegal actions and violations of our constitution, lowering the cost of living for Working Families by lowering taxes for the middle class and cutting Trump’s ability to make reckless tariffs, and making healthcare affordable and accessible for all.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
The single biggest challenge facing this district is the lack of a congressman who will stand and fight for Central Texans. I commit to listening to and elevating every voice in CD-31 and fight for the issues facing us, like fixing our water infrastructure and protecting veterans health.
What projects are most important for the U.S. Congress to focus on for the future of Texas?
First and foremost, Congress should restore voting rights protections for the millions of Texans who have been disenfranchised by Texas Republicans. Secondly, Congress should investigate illegal and unjustifiable actions of the Trump Administration's rampant abuse of power by letting ICE rampage our neighborhoods and handing over Texas' voting rolls.
