Five candidates, including one incumbent, will be running for two Georgetown ISD board of trustees seats in May.

Place 6 trustee Marcos Gonzales decided not to run for re-election. Place 7 trustee Ben Stewart will seek re-election.

The candidate filing period ended at 5 p.m. Feb. 12. All places are at-large and serve the entire GISD population.

Here are the candidates whose names will appear on the May 1 ballot including current occupation listed on filing documentation.

Place 7
  • Stephen Benold, financial planner
  • Jeff Siegismund, business planning lead
  • Ben Stewart (incumbent), consultant
Trustees serve terms of three years, and the people elected to these positions will be in office until May 2024.


Early in-person voting is April 19-24 and April 26-27. Election day is May 1. The last day to register to vote is April 1.
