Lisa King and Shawn Hood will enter a runoff for the Georgetown City Council District 2 seat.
With 100% of Williamson County polling places reporting, King had 46.60% of votes, Hood had 41.38% and the third candidate Jason Wirth had 12.02%.
The winner will fill the vacancy created by Valerie Nicholson when she resigned from her position May 31, as she and her family moved out of the district.
District 6
Incumbent Rachael Jonrowe won the Georgetown City Council District 6 race by 62.49%.
Michael Walton had 37.51% of votes.
City council members are elected from single-member districts and serve three-year terms. The people elected to these positions will be in office until May 2023.

Results are updated as of 11:40 p.m. and are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk. Under Texas election law, the clerk accepts and counts mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day and received by Nov. 4, if they were sent from inside the U.S., or Nov. 9, if they were sent from outside the U.S.
