Georgetown ISD will hold its annual State of the District event and address March 13 at the Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning.

What you need to know

The State of the District will be held 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning, located at 507 E. University Ave., Georgetown.

The event is free to attend, but attendees are asked to register for event tickets if they plan to go.

GISD's annual showcase will provide community members the opportunity to engage with students in a variety of district programs including fine arts, career and technical education, and academics.

The event will also include small bites prepared by students in the district's culinary program.

GISD Superintendent Devin Padavil will also address the community regarding advancements in teaching, as well as lay a roadmap for the future of the district at the event.
