Community members of Georgetown ISD will have multiple opportunities to learn about the district's upcoming rezoning process in anticipation of opening two new schools in 2024.

What's happening?

To address ongoing growth needs of its student population, GISD will open San Gabriel Elementary School and the new Benold Middle School for the 2024-25 school year. Attendance boundaries for the district's elementary and middle schools will be adjusted to reallocate students to each of the district's soon-to-be 11 elementary schools and four middle schools. The old Benold Middle School campus will eventually be repurposed into a new elementary school.

The district will hold public meetings about the rezoning process on the following dates 6-7 p.m.:
  • Nov. 27: Tippit Middle School, 1601 Leander Road, Georgetown
  • Nov. 28: Wolf Ranch Elementary School, 1201 Jay Wolf Dr., Georgetown
  • Nov. 29: Mitchell Elementary School, 1601 Rockride Lane, Georgetown
  • Nov. 30: Cooper Elementary School, 1921 NE Inner Loop, Georgetown
  • Dec. 5: Williams Elementary School, 4101 Southwestern Boulevard, Georgetown
  • Dec. 6: Benold Middle School, 3407 Northwest Boulevard, Georgetown
  • Dec. 7: Carver Elementary School, 4901 Scenic Lake Dr., Georgetown
