As part of its consent agenda Jan. 17, the Georgetown ISD board of trustees unanimously selected Raba Kistner Consultants to perform material testing as part of Elementary School No. 11 construction.
The costs for material testing—which include soils compaction tests, concrete reinforcing steel, concrete placement and structural steel welds—are not to exceed $183,927.70, according to GISD documents.
Funded as part of the 2021 bond program, Elementary School No. 11 is being built at 175 Elizabeth Park Blvd., Liberty Hill, in the Santa Rita Ranch neighborhood. The school is projected to open ahead of the 2024-25 school year.
