The Georgetown ISD Business Fair, hosted annually by the GISD Education Foundation, will return Aug. 9, according to an announcement from GISD.

Local businesses are invited to showcase products and services to the district's nearly 2,000 employees at the event, according to the announcement.

All registration fees go directly to the foundation to support ongoing programming, including new teacher gift cards to help teachers buy needed supplies, according to the announcement.

The event will be held at the Georgetown High School cafeteria from 8:30-10 a.m.

According to the registration guidelines, the $175 entry fee will be reduced to $75 for all local nonprofit organizations.

Additionally, GISD will provide a 6-foot table for vendor use. No table cover is provided, according to registration guidelines.

Extension cords will not be allowed as they are a tripping hazard and a violation of the fire code. Samples of food or drinks may be distributed, but all local health and safety codes must be followed.

Alcohol, tobacco, drugs, drug paraphernalia and firearms may not be advertised, promoted or distributed. GISD administrators and designated personnel have final approval on appropriate businesses and materials for distribution or display.
