Prior to joining Southwestern, Ramirez served as director of Career Development and College Relations at The University of Texas at San Antonio and also worked in the career centers at St. Edward’s University and The University of Dallas, according to the release.
"I am thrilled to support the CCPD in fostering student career readiness at Southwestern University," Ramirez said in the release. “Successfully navigating college and professional life requires access to a variety of resources. I look forward to working with the CCPD to help our students make use of those resources critical to developing a fulfilling career."
With a portfolio that includes a history of cultivating key partnerships, job placement, graduate school acceptance, career counseling, professional development and volunteer engagement, Ramirez’s leadership will include guidance to Southwestern students and alumni in developing, assessing and implementing lifelong career options, according to the release.
“I am so excited to welcome Adrian to the Southwestern University community,” said Paul Secord, vice president for university relations and strategic initiatives, in the release. “His passion for and dedication to the field of career and professional development is perfectly aligned with the commitment that all of us at Southwestern have to our students and alumni, and his leadership of the CCPD will enhance our already very strong trajectory.”
