Georgetown ISD approved a pay raise of $1 an hour to select non-teaching positions at its Jan. 18 meeting.
GISD officials approved the pay increase to reduce the number of resignations brought on by increasing demands due to COVID-19. The roles chosen to receive the pay raise will be those demonstrating the greatest vacancy rates since the beginning of the school year, according to the agenda item. The pay raise was passed unanimously.
