Georgetown ISD officials decided to cancel classes for all students–in person and remote–and close campuses on Monday, Jan. 11.

Freezing temperatures are expected throughout the night and early morning, deeming it unsafe to transport students, a release sent the evening of Jan. 10 said. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 12 according to the regular schedule.

The district has enough instructional minutes built into the calendar and this day will not need to be made up, the release added.
