Five people have filed for two seats in the May 2 Georgetown ISD board of trustees election.

Places 4 and 5 are up for election. The filing deadline was Feb. 14 at 5 p.m.

The seven members of the board serves three-year terms without compensation. Trustees are responsible for adopting policy and regulations for the district as well as approving the district’s budget, hiring and evaluating the superintendent, and establishing goals and evaluating outcomes, according to the district website.
