Georgetown ISD is seeking members for the District Performance Council, according to a July 31 news release. The DPC works with district officials to provide direction on the District Improvement Plan, a guide on district needs and goals, the release said. Committee members will also have an input on the district calendar prior to submission to the board of trustees, according to the release. GISD is accepting nominations from the community through Aug. 16. Once members are identified, they will receive an email confirming placement on the committee, the release said. More details on eligibility requirements are included in the registration form, the release said. The first DPC meeting is scheduled for Aug. 26 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in building 2 of the Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning, 507 E. University Ave., Georgetown.
