New York native franchise Singas Famous Pizza is headed to Georgetown with a new location coming soon, according to the company's location finder.

Singas Famous Pizza first opened in 1967, and the brand has since expanded to 14 states, according to the restaurant's about page. There is currently one Texas location in Frisco, with seven more coming soon to cities like Houston, Katy and Plano.

Construction on the new 4,331-square-foot Georgetown location was expected to begin Sept. 15 and wrap up before the end of the year, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.
