A new community in Williamson County called Scofield Farms Estates will have its first homes completed this summer.
The overview
Located near CR 150 and Glasscock Road, the rural community will have 29 homesites in its first phase, said Dan Eagan, senior sales manager for Giddens Homes in Scofield Farms Estates.
Giddens Homes is the sole builder for the community’s first phase and hopes to be the only builder in the next two phases, Eagan said. The community is expected to reach 100 homes at its third and final phase.
Construction on the first five homes in Phase 1 started in January is expected to reach completion by July and August, Eagan said. The neighborhood's model home will be complete by the end of June, and homes are currently for sale.
While the community will have a Georgetown address, the site is outside of city limits and Georgetown's ETJ, a Georgetown official said in an email to Community Impact.
By the numbers
Homesites at Scofield Farms Estates are minimum one acre lots and will range from:
- 3-5 bedrooms
- 2,500-4,661 square feet
- The mid $700,000s-low millions

Given fiscal year 2024-25 tax rates, the community has a combined tax rate of 1.554399 per $100 property valuation. The area is zoned for Georgetown ISD and will have natural gas for homeowners instead of the typical propane tanks seen in acreage communities, Eagan said.
Put in perspective
While the community is in a quiet area without road noise and traffic, Scofield Farms Estates is only minutes away from I-35 and SH 130, Eagan said. Its location between Georgetown and Walburg offers options to residents.
“It's extremely peaceful out there,” Eagan said. “If you ever want to go to town on a weekend and live it up, the Georgetown square is just 15 minutes away. And if it's a Wednesday night and you just want to grab a burger, a beer and a brat, you can go up to the [street] of the German restaurant 90 seconds away [in Walburg].”
