The details
Upon completion of the second building in December, the total project will have 225,000 square feet of space on nearly 35 acres, according to a news release. The first and second buildings take up 45,600 and 51,013 square feet, respectively.
The area is being developed by St. John Properties, and spaces within the buildings could be used for:
- Flexible research and development
- Single-story offices
- Retail
Both buildings will have 18-foot high ceilings, loading docks and free surface parking lots, according to the release. While there are no current announcements on confirmed tenants within the space, Harlander’s team is actively working on leasing, she said.
“Developments such as Westinghouse Crossing will be the home to hundreds of jobs and a long-term tax contributor and beneficiary of residents throughout the region,” Harlander said in the release.
Did you know?
This is the first building St. John Properties constructed in Texas, according to the news release. To honor the occasion, officials planted a live oak tree as a nod to Georgetown’s namesake, George Washington Glasscock, Sr.
In 1848, Glasscock met with county commissioners under a live oak tree to discuss where the county seat should be, and eventually donated the land, which commissioners named after him.
