With construction set to start March 6 and last through the end of May, Lone Star Circle of Care will be expanding the Georgetown Women’s Center, said CEO Jon Calvin.

The expanded part of the facility will have 13 exam rooms, a registration office for patients, management and doctor offices, a lab for testing, and a new staff break room.

“A total of 1,760 square feet will be added to the clinic as part of the expansion. This will give room for the addition of a fourth provider,” Calvin said, adding the current space only has room for three providers.

The waiting area will also be expanded as part of the redevelopment, and it will get new carpeting, paint and furniture.

“We're actually staying open throughout the construction period with our existing clinic, the space we acquired is adjacent to it. So we're knocking out a wall, and they're building out that space,” Calvin said.

The Georgetown Women's Center offers patients complete prenatal care, labor and delivery, gynecological care and other services.

The facility is located at 1900 Scenic Drive, Ste. 3326, Georgetown.

Once fully operational, more than 3,300 people are anticipated to be treated at the expanded clinic each year.

Calvin said an opening date for the expansion has not yet been established, but will likely be in early June.

Lone Star Circle of Care has 27 clinic locations in the Central Texas area.
