Data released by the U.S. Census Bureau on Dec. 19 indicates growth is continuing in Georgetown, with reported year-over-year increases in median household income, median home value, overall population and more.
The 2018 American Community Survey “helps local officials, community leaders, and businesses understand the changes taking place in their communities,” according to the bureau.
From 2014 to 2018, the bureau estimates Georgetown’s population increased by over 26%, adding nearly than 14,000 people. For comparison, Round Rock also grew by about 14,000 people. Home values are also on the rise. Between 2017 and 2018, the median home in Georgetown increased in value by nearly 6%, according to the ACS data. The median household income increased 4.6% between 2017 and 2018, up some $2,600 on average.
