Between June 6-8, the Williamson County and Cities Health District reported 14 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the county total to 698, 507 of whom have recovered.

Currently, seven patients are hospitalized, five are in intensive care, and four are on a ventilator, it said.

The WCCHD also reported 54% of hospital beds and 69% of ventilators are available.

The county had 672 total cases as of June 5, 684 cases as of June 6 and 691 as of June 7.

On June 6, the county reported its 28th death, a woman in her 80s.


“Today, our community suffers another life lost to COVID-19," Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said in the release. "While there is nothing I can say that will make this loss easier for her family and friends, there are things we all can do to stop the spread of this virus and save lives."

Gravell recommended residents continue to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, such as wearing a face covering when in public, keeping 6 feet of distance between oneself and others staying home if feeling ill, and practicing proper hygiene.
