    Lara Prescott, author of “The Secrets We Kept,” will be at Lark & Owl Booksellers to discuss her debut novel. 2. Nightmare on Jail Hill

3. Surrealism Workshop
The Georgetown Art Center hosts a surrealism workshop. The half-day drawing activity class helps artists release their creativity by utilizing surrealist techniques to generate ideas and inspiration, with a focus on the subconscious. 1-5 p.m. $10. 4. Dog and car washes for a cause
Wag Heaven, a pet supply store in Georgetown, hosts a dog and car wash event to raise money for the Playful Child Foundation, a nonprofit that seeks to foster total physical and mental health in children.
