As summer winds down, enjoy the long weekend at these upcoming events in Georgetown.


1. Enjoy a free workout with Fit4Mom

Fit4Mom will host its grand opening Friday with a free class and giveaways. Fit4Mom offers fitness programs for moms and their babies using strollers, tubing and the environment. 2. Southwestern University Men’s Soccer kicks off season

The men’s soccer team will plays its first home game against the University of Chicago. 4 p.m. Free. Southwestern University Varsity Field, 1001 E. University Ave., Georgetown. 512-863-1381.

3. Music on the Square returns for final show of season

Music on the Square Summer Concert Series bid farewell for the season with the country group. The music series offer free live music most Friday nights from June through August. Attendees are invited to bring blankets, chairs and snacks, or are welcome to buy food at one of the many restaurants on the square. 6:30 p.m. Free. 4. Pirate Football season begins

Southwestern University Football kicks off against Denison University. The Pirates host five home games this fall. Season tickets as well as single-game tickets are available. 7 p.m. $10. Birkelbach Field, 2275 N. Austin Ave., Georgetown. 512-863-1381.


5. Enjoy a free day of yoga at Shine

Splash Jam in Cedar Park
