The academy, which was established in 2021, seeks to educate, connect and inspire leaders to develop a strong commitment to community service for the greater good of Georgetown, according to the release.
The eight-month program meets from 2-6 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month, except for the first class, which will meet Sept. 29.
Each meeting will headline a specific topic such as Develop Georgetown, Balance a Budget and Keep the City Safe.
To be eligible, participants should be at least 21 years old, must be a Georgetown resident and must be able to attend at least six out of eight sessions.
