Georgetown’s retail area surrounding the intersection of I-35 and Hwy. 29 near the Wolf Ranch Town Center should grow significantly over the next decade with plans in place for Wolf Lakes Village, a 164-acre mixed-use district envisioned by Iva Wolf McLachlan, president of Wolf Lakes LP, the project’s developer.
The latest
McLachlan shared plans for the district at various economic summits and business functions in 2017. Near the future Wolf Lakes village, just to the east of I-35, CSW Development plans to build a 42-acre retail development called Wolf Crossing that will include a variety of restaurants and business, including cookie delivery company Tiff’s Treats.
What’s next
Wolf Lakes Village will include Italian-themed buildings with both commercial and residential development and could break ground in spring 2018 pending Georgetown City Council approval of a planned unit development for the project. Wolf Lakes will be located north of Wolf Ranch Town Center and Hwy. 29.
