In 2025, developers, government entities and Georgetown ISD submitted hundreds of projects to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Here is a look at the five most costly projects, many of which will begin or finish construction in 2026.

Georgetown ISD High School No. 4

Project: The new campus, located on D.B. Wood Road, will serve grades nine through 12 and have a capacity for 2,200 students once completed, according to the district.

Timeline: The district broke ground on the project in October, according to previous Community Impact reporting. It is expected to open for the fall 2028 semester.

Cost: Construction costs for the new high school are estimated to be about $356 million and are funded by the 2024 bond program.

Office building on Aviation Drive

Project: According to the TDLR filing, an existing warehouse shell will be converted into an office building.

Timeline: February to August 2026

Cost: $74,063,450

Georgetown Family YMCA

Project: The YMCA of Central Texas and the city of Georgetown began collaborating to deliver a new YMCA facility in February 2022, according to previous Community Impact reporting.

While the Georgetown Family YMCA has provided after-school child care at Georgetown elementary schools, as well as youth programs and summer day camps at its storefront, the new build will be the city’s first fully-equipped facility. The 53,000-square-foot facility is planned for Williams Drive in Northwest Georgetown.

Timeline: TBD

Cost: Per the TDLR filing, the project is estimated to cost $35 million. Georgetown voters approved a $10 million bond in the November 2023 election. The YMCA board committed at least $19.2 million to the project. The remaining funds will be raised from the community, with Sports Clips and H-E-B already committing support.

Pegatron Corporation HQ

The company acquired a 168,784-square-foot industrial building in the Blue Springs development near SE Inner Loop and Blue Springs Boulevard. Pegatron officials will start construction on the Georgetown facility before the end of the year, a news release states. The company will invest at least $35 million in capital in the city and hire at least 100 employees within the first three years of operation.

Timeline: Estimated completion in 2026

Cost: $20 million, per the filing

  • A curb and gutter
  • Left- and right-turn lanes at intersecting streets
