Lamppost Coffee opened its fifth Austin-area location March 3 in the Anderson Mill area. The cafe, located at 13376 US 183, Ste. 800, Austin, serves pour-over coffee and handcrafted espresso drinks alongside traditional coffee shop offerings.

Elsie's Egg Rolls celebrated the grand opening of its drive-thru at 525 Chris Kelley Blvd., Hutto, on Jan. 29. Menu items include lumpia, Filipino spring rolls; pork adobo, a marinated meat and vegetable dish; and pancit, Filipino noodles.

With temperatures in the 80s and Austin residents heading out to public parks in large numbers, day passes will once again be required for anyone visiting Emma Long Metropolitan Park in West Austin or Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park in East Austin starting March 12.
