Swift water training facility Fathom Academy has expanded beyond Georgetown. In September, the business began to consult other states and countries build their own indoor swift water training tanks, including in New York, Indiana, Georgia, India, Africa and China, among others, owner Barton Bollfrass said. The tanks rest on the ground and plug into a standard circuit so they can be built anywhere and help anyone, Bollfrass said.

“We can only service so many first responders in the region, and others are asking for a closer one for them to access,” he added.
