The Georgetown City Council approved of a grant application from the Georgetown Arts and Culture board at its June 12 meeting.

The GAC board will submit an application to the Texas Commission on the Arts for a Performance Support grant for Sue Foley, a Texas Touring Roster artist and musician, to perform at the inaugural South Main Arts Festival in October, according to city officials.

The grant will cover $2,250 in performance support to supplement the total contracted amount of $7,500.

If awarded, the GAC board will be responsible for the $5,250 balance of the artist contract. Funding for the contact balance will come from the arts and culture general fund, according to the city.

Foley's latest album, "Pinky Blue's" is available for download on SoundCloud. Learn more about Foley's work at https://suefoley.com.
