The National Endowment for the Arts awarded the The Palace Theatre in Georgetown a $10,000 grant, according to a July 23 news release.

The grant will support dancing, acting and other arts-related programming for students of all abilities at The Palace Theatre, the release said.

The Georgetown Palace Theatre Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Georgetown and Williamson County by providing a venue for quality and affordable entertainment and educational opportunities in the performing arts, the release said. It also hosts an inclusion program that is dedicated to quality theater education for all members of the community, it said.

The NEA is the independent federal agency whose funding and support gives Americans the opportunity to participate in the arts, exercise their imaginations and develop their creative capacities, the release said.
