Stephanie Myers’ Classic Car and Vintage Plane Show
Saturday, Feb. 25
Visitors can join car, airplane and motorcycle enthusiasts for the sixth consecutive year. Proceeds from this community event helps wounded veterans and their families offset ongoing medical care expenses through Help Our Wounded.

Car and motorcycle participants can register online or the day of the show. For a small fee, visitors can fly in a B-25 or C-47 airplane. Food, drinks, vendors and live music are available throughout the day. Local veterans will announce the classic car trophy winners at 2:30 p.m.

Sunset Movie Series 
Saturday, Feb. 25
The 2017 Sunset Movie Series, hosted by the Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department and Georgetown Fire Department, kicks off with a screening of “Firehouse Dog" at Fire Station 5, 3600 D.B. Wood Road in Georgetown. It includes a tour of  the fire station, a fire safety presentation and truck demonstrations.

The free, family-friendly series occurs at a variety of locations throughout Georgetown. Moviegoers are welcome to bring chairs, blankets and picnics. No alcoholic beverages are allowed. Georgetown’s Cotton Patch Café will  be onsite providing free drinks and special giveaways.

Georgetown Bridal Show
Sunday, Feb. 26
The event features more than 70 vendors, door prizes and a wedding fashion show. Brides who preregister and attend the show are automatically entered in the honeymoon giveaway.

40th anniversary celebration
Sunday, Feb. 26
The Georgetown Heritage Society celebrates its history and dedication to heritage and preservation in Georgetown. The event includes cocktails and a buffet dinner, a program featuring past presidents, a new documentary and the new Preservation Georgetown logo.

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day and Girl Day STEM Festival
Saturday, Feb. 25
The Women in Engineering Program in the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin will host more than 8,000 children, parents and educators from cities across the state for its 16th annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day and Girl Day STEM Festival.

The daylong event is filled with activities that help spark creativity, inspire future careers and show how engineers and scientists can change the world. Elementary and middle school students will engage in 150 activities and hands-on educational experiences, from designing a balloon-powered car to watching physics and chemistry in action.
