The school districts set up budgets for the coming fiscal year, which also determines the tax rate residents pay to the districts.

Homeowners within Round Rock ISD will pay more on their tax bill under a new tax rate, which takes effect immediately. The RRISD board of trustees voted unanimously Sept. 17 to set the property tax rate at $1.3325 per $100 of property valuation.

The rate is a $0.005 decrease from last year’s tax rate of $1.3375 per $100 of property valuation.

Pflugerville ISD will be keeping its tax rate at $1.54 per $100 of valuation. Pflugerville ISD’s total budget is set at $256,406,195.

Hutto ISD’s proposed a total tax rate of $1.67 per $100 of taxable value for a total budget of $54.99 million. With the proposed tax rate, the average homeowner will pay an additional $260 annually in property taxes, according to budget documents.

Because of rising property values, the average household in each district will see an increase on their tax bill.
