WHAT WE REPORTED Local food trailer Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ, located at 7612 Brodie Lane, offers items including brisket, sandwiches and sides.
THE LATEST Valentina’s moved its trailer and opened Jan. 19 at its new 11500 Manchaca Road location, co-owner Modesty Vidal said.
Valentina’s will establish its first brick-and-mortar location on the property, she said. The goal of the business is to fund the project without help from investors or loans, she said.
“We are hoping for the brick-and-mortar to be completely finished before the end of the year,” Vidal said. “We will have much more outdoor seating, parking and family atmosphere on our new property.”
Another trailer, The Violet Taco, opened Jan. 20 at the 7612 Brodie Lane location. Violet Taco serves Tex-Mex dishes and tacos including breakfast, Vidal said.
WHAT'S NEXT Valentina’s will continue serving food out of the existing trailer while it works on renovations to the new brick-and-mortar building, Vidal said.
The menu will stay the same at the trailer, and once the new location opens the business plans to expand the menu with more items such as new smoked meats, sandwiches and specials, Vidal said.
