Steve Braasch, president of the Bee Cave Chamber of Commerce, resigned from his position today. The announcement was confirmed by the group’s founding president, Adrian Overstreet, who said Braasch gave notice to the chamber’s board members in a note this morning. Overstreet said Braasch has been busy with his business and traveling a lot. Star Hill Ranch owner Adam Woolley, president-elect of the organization, was immediately boosted into Braasch’s spot on the board. “It’s kind of funny how you wake up one day and your role is far different from what it was [the day] before,” Woolley said. He said his goal in leading the chamber is to put Bee Cave on the map as more of a travel and entertainment destination, and to give the city more of an identity. “There’s some really rich history [in Bee Cave] that can be shared,” Woolley said. “The chamber is probably the best vehicle to do this.” Braasch formerly served as Mayor Pro Tem on the Bee Cave City Council.
