Sugar Land City Council and Fort Bend ISD elections are this Saturday and Community Impact Newspaper will be covering the results as they come in from the voting booth. Until then, here are some key points Sugar Land and Missouri City residents should remember:

Who's running?
As reported in this year's Local Election Guide, three candidates are running to replace Harish Jajoo in the Sugar Land City Council District 4 seat: Sean Burnett, Qaisar Q. Imam and Carol McCutcheon. We asked each candidate for their top priorities if elected and what challenges they think are most pressing for the city.

Read their responses here, as well as our coverage of a candidates' forum at the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce on April 17.

In the school board race, seven candidates are running for trustee positions including incumbents Jason Burdine, KP George and board President Kristin Tassin. Burdine and George face opponents L. Angelo DeCamps and Lorena Dueñas, respectively, while Tassin faces Rodrigo Carreon and Shirley Rose-Gilliam.

Six of the candidates participated in a forum at the chamber April 19. Read our coverage of the event here.

Where to vote?
Registered Fort Bend County voters may cast their ballots from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at any of the county's polling places.
