According to city documents, the subdivision includes 15 lots between 10,000 and 13,000 square feet designated for single-family use, two cul-de-sacs, a 5,000-sqaure-foot open space lot and a roughly 1-acre pond in the southeast corner. The lot, west of US 183, is located 1.5 miles southwest of the Austin Aquarium. According to developer Haven Blue Development’s website, the lot is slated for “14 custom homes with estate lots.” Andrea Mangan of Haven Blue Development, who is listed as the applicant, could not be reached for comment. The plan was originally shot down by the Zoning and Platting Commission in May 2014. A follow-up preliminary plan was later approved in August 2015. At Tuesday night’s meeting, the project was given unanimous 8-0 approval by the commission. Cesar Zavala, listed as the city of Austin’s case manager for the application, did not return calls for comment on the development.
