The details
According to a news release from the the brand, the Creative Center will be home to several hospital events and personnel, including:
- Dell Children’s child life specialists, who help children and their families navigate illness, injury, disability, trauma and hospitalization
- Dell Children’s TV, the hospital’s streaming service
- The hospital’s creative arts and music therapy programs
- Kendra Scott’s other pediatric initiatives, such as its Color Bar where patients and caregivers can design their own piece of customized jewelry for free
“There’s not another facility like [Dell Children’s] in Central Texas that is really providing these services for our children,” Scott said. “As a mom, nothing is worse than seeing your child not well. For me, coming into the hospital and seeing the need to be able to do what I could do, what our company could do, to provide a little bit of joy—a little bit of a break from the stress and struggle of being in the hospital—that’s where this all stemmed from.”
