Austin boil-water notice: Utility yet to provide cause of system error, response time


According to Austin Water Director Greg Meszaros, operational errors at the city water utility's Ullrich Water Treatment Plant on Feb. 5 caused a spike in water turbidity—a measurement of water clarity and quality that can point to potential contaminants—and prompted the boil notice.



Pflugerville trash pickup on modified schedule until Feb. 14

The normal trash and recycling pickup schedule will resume Feb. 14. The full revised schedule is available in an announcement on the city's website.
