Lavaca Street Bar announced Monday it plans to open a third location at 3121 S. Lamar Blvd., Austin, in winter 2016.
The sports bar will take over the spot formerly occupied by World of Beer, which closed Feb. 8 after being open for a less than a year.
The original Lavaca Street Bar is located at 405 Lavaca St., Austin, and opened in 1989. It opened a second location in the Rock Rose district of Domain Northside in early April.
The new location will feature games, television screens, a selection of drafts and spirits as well as Turf 'n Surf Po'Boys.
