Artists are invited to enter a competition to create a work of art out of over 20,000 plastic yellow Livestrong wristbands. The Livestrong Cancer Institutes of The University of Texas Dell Medical School’s Community Art Competition is accepting proposals for artwork created from the wristbands through Jan. 2, 2018, according to a news release.
Finalists will receive up to 25,000 Livestrong wristbands to create their pieces, which will be exhibited at an event in April. The winning piece will be installed at Dell Medical School’s Health Discovery Building.
“Idea submissions should illustrate the cancer experience and support those who have faced it,” the news release stated.
