Brushy Creek Sports Park is back open after the city of Cedar Park launched an improvement project earlier this year. The park reopened March 7 after being closed since Feb. 16.
What’s new
Randy Lueders, the city’s director of engineering and capital projects, said during a January City Council meeting that the improvements include:
- Sports field fencing and nets
- Softball field drainage and infield improvements
- Parking lot expansion
- Additional trails
- Existing trail upgrades, including replacing decomposed granite paths with concrete
- New maintenance building
