From holiday celebrations to shows at the H-E-B Center, there are several events for Cedar Park and Leander residents to enjoy in December. Additionally, venues in the area are hosting live music.

Dec. 6: Test your trivia knowledge

Dec. 7: Attend a wrestling tournament

Dec. 9: Party at a boutique

Turquoise Peacock Boutique owner Angela Huling will host the fifth annual Peacock Christmas Party. Wrapped presents will be under the Christmas tree for giveaway drawings. Dec. 9: Meet moms at the park

Dec. 9-10: Go trail running

Runners of all ages are invited to take part in the Mosaic Trail Race at Indian Mound Ranch in Liberty Hill. Race events include a 50K, a marathon, a half-marathon, a 15K, a 10K, a 5K, youth 1-mile and youth 2-mile runs. Dec. 10-11, 16-18: Watch a classic Christmas play

Dec. 11: Bring your pet to meet Santa

Santa Claus is coming to Lakeline Mall, where pet owners can bring their furry friends to take a picture with the man in red along with his elves from the North Pole. The photo experience is located next to Helzberg Diamonds. Donations will be collected on behalf of the Humane Society. Dec. 15: Attend a holiday party

Dec. 16-18: Enjoy a day of games

Go Games 360 will host a three-day event at the Crossover Sports Complex for the community to play video games, tabletop games and physical games. Dec. 22-23: See the Sesame Street gang

Sesame Street Live! Make Your Magic will come to the H-E-B Center. Favorite characters such as Elmo, Cookie Monster and Big Bird, will take the stage for a family-friendly event. During the show, Elmo is inspired to learn a magic trick when he meets magician Justin. Dec. 24: See a festive circus experience

Dec. 30: See a country-music concert

Dec. 31: Ring in the New Year
