Leander ISD cancels classes for Jan. 31

Leander ISD canceled all classes and activities for Jan. 31. (Community Impact staff)

Leander ISD canceled all classes for Jan. 31 due to inclement weather.

According to LISD, all activities—practices, rehearsals and games—were also canceled. The district said in an announcement that significant icing is forecasted over night with the possibility of power outages and temperatures below freezing. In addition, LISD meal services will not be available.

The district will continue to watch the weather forecast and notify the community of any changes to school schedules for Feb. 1.
