Angela Hodges was approved as the new principal at Wiley Middle School in Leander by the Leander ISD board of trustees July 16.
For the past two years, Hodges served as principal at LISD's Steiner Ranch Elementary School in Austin. During that time, she contributed to many committees, including Student Learning Objectives; the Diversity and Equity Task Force; and Programs for Advancement, Challenge and Enrichment, or PACE, according to an LISD news release.
Before coming to LISD, Hodges served as a principal and assistant principal in Pflugerville ISD, according to the news release.
“Angela is an inclusive leader who values everyone’s voice and will partner with students, staff, parents and community to create a positive learning environment for all at Wiley MS,” LISD Superintendent Bruce Gearing said. “Her experience as a principal and her knowledge of instructional practices will build upon the incredible culture already established at Wiley MS.”
