The remainder of the American Hockey League season has been canceled, according to a May 11 news release from AHL President and CEO David Andrews.

The league’s Board of Governors also voted to cancel the playoffs due to coronavirus concerns.

“After a lengthy review process, the American Hockey League has determined that the resumption and completion of the 2019-20 season is not feasible in light of current conditions," Andrews said in the release.

The Texas Stars, the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, play their home games at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. Seven Texas Stars home games were canceled due to coronavirus concerns, according to the release.

When the season was suspended in March, single-game ticket holders were refunded either through the H-E-B Center box office or Ticketmaster, according to Stars spokesperson Brian Tosti.

Sorted by points percentages, the AHL’s standings, as well as team and individual statistics, as of March 12 will determine league awards for the 2019-20 season.
