Looking for fun things to do in the Cedar Park area through November? Take a look at these eleven upcoming events. This list is not comprehensive.

Barktoberfest

A festival geared toward dogs and their owners will offer a 3K dog walk and 5K fun run, all benefiting the Central Texas SPCA. There will also be children and dog costume contests as well as various vendors, a silent auction and more.

Cedar Park Music Festival

The Cedar Park Music Festival will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and The Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Festivalgoers will experience live music from local musicians along with food and craft vendors, raffles, and prizes. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.

Night of Stars

Benefiting the Twin Lakes Family YMCA, guests will be treated to live music, small bites and drinks in the new Facilities Resource Inc. showroom and event space—the Twin Lakes Family YMCA services community members in the Cedar Park and Leander areas.

Horror Author Tonia Ransom Reading and Q&A


The Cedar Park Public Library team will offer a chance to hear local author Tonia Ransom read from her new book, "Risen," a horror thriller released just in time for Halloween. Afterward, Ransom—who is also known for being a World Fantasy Award winner and podcast host—will answer questions from those attending.

Jeezy: Legenz of the South Tour with Paul Wall, Lil' Keke and others

Known as a musical artist, author and actor, Jay Wayne Jenkins—stage name Jeezy—has been in the music industry since 2001. Since then, he has released 10 studio albums, made an appearance on both television and in movies, and released his first book in August. He and other musicians will spend the night of Nov. 4 entertaining those attending.

Ovation Gala: Bright Lights

Greater Austin Asian Chamber members will gather to celebrate and recognize work completed by the community throughout the past year. Locals were invited to nominate inspirational people from the area to receive an award in one of the four categories, which included Asian/Pacific American Community Organization of the Year, Creative Arts Entrepreneur, Emerging Business and Business of the Year.

"Seussical The Musical"

Shine On Performing Arts—a nonprofit performing arts organization—will produce "Seussical The Musical" in November. Directed by Emily Calasopa and musical director Jacob Horton, the musical will explore the world of Dr. Seuss through love, loyalty and friendship.

Cedar Park High School Holiday Bazaar

To provide a safe, drug- and alcohol-free space for graduating seniors to celebrate, officials with Cedar Park High School Project Graduation will host a holiday bazaar featuring local vendors. All profits will go toward the party.

Carlson Cares Bear Fair North Austin

The Carlson Law Firm-North Austin team will host a toy and clothing drive. Anyone donating either a new toy or a warm article of clothing will have the chance to make a custom teddy bear. There will also be various giveaways and treats throughout the afternoon.

Tee It Up For Business

One of a handful of major annual events put on by the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce, the golf tournament is designed to help business owners network with one another along with citizens in the Cedar Park area. Other annual events the chamber hosts include Cedar Fest, Golf Classic, Chamber Awards Banquet and Taste of Cedar Park.

ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot



Benefiting the nonprofit whose goal is to end homelessness in the area, Caritas of Austin, the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot is known to be the largest 5-mile run in the state and attracts more than 20,000 runners each year. A raffle for a new Honda Accord will also take place during the event.
