Leander ISD will welcome around 43,000 students across 48 campuses for the 2024-25 school year.

Here’s what LISD families need to know before returning to school Aug. 14, including information about verifying enrollment, bus services and dates to remember, according to district information.

What you need to know

Parents can verify enrollment for their returning students who attended LISD last school year by logging into Home Access Center. Verifying enrollment assists the district in hiring staff members, according to district information.

New and returning bus riders must register for transportation services this school year. The district will share bus stop locations and times once students are registered. Parents can also find their child’s bus route, stop location, and pickup and drop-off times by searching for their home address on Infofinder.

Parents can see when and where their students enter and exit the bus, and monitor a bus’s status through the SMART tag app.

The MySchoolBucks platform allows parents to pay for their student’s meals using electronic checks, or debit or credit cards. Parents can visit the district’s website to see if their child is eligible for free and reduced-price meals.

LISD will hold a vaccine drive Aug. 10 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Texas Children’s Hospital in North Austin. Patients may sign up to be vaccinated on a first-come, first-served basis and should bring their insurance cards, photo ID and child’s up-to-date vaccine record.

Immunization requirements for this school year are posted on the district’s website.

The district will introduce a new way for families to receive and review the LISD Parent and Student Handbook, and Student Code of Conduct, according to district information. The board of trustees will adopt this school year’s code of conduct at an Aug. 8 meeting.
